A French Bulldog Pregnancy Journey: From Ultrasound to Puppy Arrival
They say every journey begins with a single step - but for Roxy, it all began with a tiny flutter on the ultrasound screen. Meet our black-and-tan Frenchie, whose first litter is unfolding into a heartwarming chapter for Franceschi Frenchies.
A Royal Lineage: Meet Roxy
Roxy is the daughter of Multi V-1 International Champion Franceschi Frenchies Grizzly, paired with Zara, a unique outcross that brings fresh vigor to our bloodline. With over 30 years of experience and seven generations of genetically health-tested dogs, Roxy represents our dedication to sound temperament, structure, and health.
Roxy was one of two females born that January morning, alongside her brother Teddy. Today, her sister Athena resides in New Jersey, while Teddy lives in North Carolina.
Over the summer, Roxy has followed in her father’s footsteps and gained her own titles, earning the distinction of Multi V-1 ARBA JR. CH., ARBA Full CH., KC-USA JR., KC-USA Full CH., and ARBA & KCUSA MASTER CHAMPION Franceschi Frenchies Roxy. Truly, she is a testament to her royal lineage
Blue Trindle French Bulldog Pairing: Roxy & Buffett
When Roxy was paired with Buffett, our striking blue trindle sire, the goal wasn’t simply about producing beautiful pups - it was about blending structure, temperament, and health in a way that carries forward the best of both bloodlines. This thoughtful match promises a litter that will be as sound in character as they are stunning in appearance, reflecting the same commitment to excellence that defines Franceschi Frenchies.

Pregnancy Confirmed: Ultrasound Milestone
On August 11, 2025, Roxy’s ultrasound confirmed the long‑awaited news—she’s carrying her first litter! The next milestone is puppy count via radiograph on September 4, 2025, and based on the breeding dates, puppies are expected between September 7–11. At this stage, the puppies’ skeletal structures have begun to calcify, which means we can now see a much clearer view of their developing bodies. This is a vital step in assessing the health and development of the puppies.
A Growing Mama: Care & Nutrition
Roxy now weighs just over 30 lbs, showing off her puppy belly with pride. Her appetite is strong, and we’ve boosted her calorie intake - up to 25–50% more in the final trimester, per veterinary guidelines - to support healthy development. Roxy like most Frenchies, love to eat and she makes sure her babies are satisfied.
The Countdown Begins: Preparing for Puppies
With whelping dates looming, our preparations ramp up: vet checkups, comfortable nesting, and close monitoring of Roxy’s behavior. We ensure every detail is considered. Expert breeder advice echoes this: “Breeding isn’t about chance—it’s about vision.” Follow along so you don't miss any exciting Franceschi Frenchie updates.
Final Thoughts: A New Chapter Unfolds
Roxy’s journey is more than just pregnancy—it’s a promise of a new generation rooted in health, temperament, and ethical breeding. At Franceschi Frenchies, where transparency, care, and champion bloodlines come together, our boutique approach stands shoulder-to-shoulder with anyone in the field.
