Legacy of Love and Loss: Lily Bug a Blue Fawn Lucy Daughter

At Franceschi Frenchies, every puppy has a story – and some stories touch your heart a little deeper. Today, we’re proud to introduce one of our most special girls: a stunning blue fawn white pied French Bulldog female, born on June 27, 2022, Lily affectionately named Lily Bug. This precious girl is the daughter of our Multi V-1 Rated Champion Franceschi’s Spanky, and the unforgettable Franceschi’s Lucy, a true beauty inside and out.

A Bittersweet Beginning

Lucy gave us a litter of four:

Louie V (male)

Rose (female)

Lily Bug (female)

Lucy aka “Lola” (female) named after her mom

Tragically, we lost Lucy during the c-section. Losing her was one of the most painful moments in our program. Lucy was smart, graceful, and genetically exceptional. Her impact will never be forgotten. (We’ll be sharing more about Lucy in an upcoming tribute.)

A Full-Time Job: Raising Orphans 

Those first two weeks were a whirlwind. The puppies were bottle-fed around the clock – a full-time job in every sense. Every few hours, we prepared formula, fed the babies individually, burped each one like you would a newborn, and made sure their nasal passages remained clear so they could breathe and eat safely. It took diligence, skill, and a lot of sleepless nights. Bottle-feeding newborn French Bulldog puppies is not for the faint of heart. It’s delicate, consuming work that requires absolute commitment.

Then something incredible happened.

Our foundation female Pebbles, who had just delivered her own litter, instinctively jumped in to help. She took Lucy’s orphaned pups in as her own and raised them alongside hers. Pebbles’ maternal instinct was nothing short of heroic, and thanks to her, Lucy’s babies thrived. What made this extra special is that Lucy was a daughter of Pebbles.

Now Thriving at Franceschi Frenchies

Now approaching 3 years old, this special blue fawn pied girl carries the legacy of two incredible parents: Ch. Franceschi’s Spanky, whose V-1 rated structure, excellent temperament, and rare coloring have earned national attention and Lucy, whose spirit lives on in every step her daughter takes.
